About Critters

Critters is a compact browser creature-catching game about tracking colorful bugs as they move across a dark field. The MonIndex records each successful catch and gives the short hunt a clear collection target.

It is a lighter alternative to a full monster RPG: there are no long menus or party battles, only quick reactions and careful mouse placement as the bugs cross the play area.

Aim and Hold to Catch

The tutorial is simple: aim at a roaming bug, then hold the mouse button down to complete the capture. Different colors and movement paths make the target harder to follow, especially when several bugs share the screen.

Watch the MonIndex as the collection grows and keep moving the pointer to look for a species that has not appeared yet.

How to Play

  • Read the MonIndex tutorial when the game starts.
  • Track a bug with the mouse pointer.
  • Hold the mouse button down while the pointer stays on the target.
  • Release after the capture completes and check the MonIndex.
  • Find five unique bugs to finish the collection goal.
